Scottish Parkinsons Golf Society and Ferguslie Cricket Club Fund raising golf day held at Paisley Golf Club on Friday 26th June 2026
Paisley GC – Joint Fund Raising event in partnership with Ferguslie Cricket Club. This event was organised and hosted by Event Coordinator Iain Kennedy who is a member of Paisley Golf Club. The aim was to raise funds for The Scottish Parkinsons Golf Society and the Ferguslie Cricket Club ‘Strang Pavilion project.’ 18 teams of 4 teed it up on the day which survived an early scare from the weather with thunder and Lightning in the area. 7 SPGS Members participated in the event. The competition was a team Stableford with the best two nett scores from each team counting. The team from Haggs Castle won the competition with a marvellous score of 92 points. There were numerous fund raising activities on the day and Supporter Member Dawn Busby made the highest bid for a Ewen Ferguson Golf package that included a superb Titleist Driver.
Thanks are due to Paisley Golf Club for providing a first rate package on the day with the course in fine order, the catering top class and the assistant PGA professional Euan McBride providing a stern test at the ‘Beat the Pro’ par 3 hole.
Finally a big thanks are due to all the volunteers that assisted during the day and the many kind donations made by supporters of both organisations.
